Women, Men Win Chase Tournament
The women's basketball team beat Nazareth 83-46, winning their third consecutive J. P. Morgan Chase Scholarship Tournament on Saturday. The men followed with a 87-75 victory also against Nazareth. The win marks the Yellowjackets' 9th Chase championship.

Andrew Young Talk, No Classes on MLK Day
Business leader and former U.S. ambassador Andrew Young will deliver the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Address at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 21, in Strong Auditorium.  The University has also cancelled classes on Jan. 21 in King's honor. For other MLK events visit www.rochester.edu/news/MLK.

Sanctions Outlined for Theta Chi Fraternity
Dean of the College Richard Feldman has imposed a set of sanctions on the Alpha Zeta Chapter of Theta Chi beginning this month. His decision calls for “radical changes in the attitudes and behavior of the fraternity.” Further details about penalties can be found here and a letter to alumni members of Theta Chi from Dean of the Faculty Peter Lennie is available here.

New Bus Schedules Online
New bus schedules for the Blue, Red, and Green lines will be available Jan. 14 online or in print from University Parking and Transportation. Also beginning Jan. 14, riders will be able to track their bus via GPS at www.rochester.edu/parking/shuttle.htm.

Eastman Theatre Expansion
Preparations for the renovation of the Eastman Theatre and construction of a new addition to the Eastman School are progressing, with theater improvements slated for the summers of 2008 and 2009 and construction on the new wing scheduled to run from July 2008 through December 2009. Read more..

Online Deposit for URos and Declining is Live
Visit http://my.rochester.edu and click on the My Accounts tab to make deposits, check on balances, and manage your accounts. Guests may also make deposits to your account using this feature.   

Downloadable 'Goodies' with New Logo
Publications Services has posted a Web page of downloadable “goodies” featuring the new University logo. Choose from desktop wallpaper designs, Powerpoint and Keynote templates, and fax cover sheets. Read more...  

Wild by Design QuiltWild by Design Opening Party
Journey through two centuries of bold experimentation in color and pattern at the opening of Wild by Design: 200 Years of Innovation and Artistry in American Quilts at the Memorial Art Gallery. The festivities include live music, dancing, and munchies. Design a T-shirt
The River Campus Bookstore is holding a contest for a University t-shirt design. The winning design will be sold in the bookstore and 10 percent of sales will be donated to Foodlink. The winning artist will receive a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card and a t-shirt featuring the design. Entries are due Feb. 1. Stop by the bookstore or e-mail mferrante@ur.rochester.edu for complete contest rules.

Fall Study Abroad Applications Due Feb. 1
Students who wish to study abroad during the fall 2008 semester, or for the entire 2008-09 academic year, need to submit a study abroad proposal by Feb. 1. Merit- and need-based scholarships are available. The proposal form, along with information about the application process, is available online. Students should attend a general interest meeting and may also attend the annual Study Abroad Expo on Friday, Jan. 25, in Wilson Commons. Read more...
