This informational Working Guide is intended to introduce University of Rochester employees to summaries of many applicable policies and procedures of the University. Helpful links to available services also are provided. This Working Guide does not constitute, represent or reflect a contractual commitment on the part of the University. Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement may be covered by separate policies and procedures per the applicable agreement and should adhere to those policies and procedures when different from what is referenced in this Guide.

Policies/procedures can be reviewed in their entirety by clicking on the links provided throughout this Guide. The University reserves the right, at any time, to modify, amend or terminate its policies and procedures and the available services mentioned in this Guide. University policies are periodically reviewed and notices of revisions are communicated in various University publications to the University community. Approved updates take precedence over the contents of this Guide.
