This handbook introduces University of Rochester employees to many of the applicable policies, procedures and conditions of employment and also provides information on available services. Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement adhere to its provisions when they differ from those described in this handbook.

The University’s policies are periodically reviewed, and notice of revisions will appear in Currents, Vital Signs, and other University publications as needed. All statements contained in this handbook are intended to reflect general policies, principles and procedures, and do not represent contractual commitments on the part of the University of Rochester.

For additional and the most current information, please refer to the University Personnel Policy Manual, talk to your immediate supervisor, or call your Human Resources representative.

The University reserves the right, at any time, to modify, amend or terminate the policies, procedures, conditions of employment, or available services mentioned in this working guide.
