University Security Services

Back to Table of Contents

Security Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The University’s Security Officers are responsible for ensuring personal safety and general security services for the University. Although officers are not armed, they respond to calls of any nature across the organization and can communicate directly with the Rochester Police Department and other law enforcement agencies as needed.

Students, faculty, staff, volunteers and visitors are encouraged to report criminal incidents, either by dialing 13 on any internal University phone, using a ‘blue light’ emergency phone or in person at any of the three Security Offices. Call the Crime Prevention Office at 5-2220 about information on educational services offered.
