{"id":259046,"date":"2008-01-03T14:34:55","date_gmt":"2008-01-03T14:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wdev.rochester.edu\/College\/translation\/threepercent-dev\/2008\/01\/03\/bombs-brazilian-issue\/"},"modified":"2018-04-16T17:34:44","modified_gmt":"2018-04-16T17:34:44","slug":"bombs-brazilian-issue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/College\/translation\/threepercent\/2008\/01\/03\/bombs-brazilian-issue\/","title":{"rendered":"BOMB&#39;s Brazilian Issue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not sure how long this has been available, but the recent issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bombsite.com\/issues\/102\">BOMB<\/a> is dedicated to Brazilian art and culture. <\/p>\n<p>Looks like a fantastic issue, with articles about Cao Guimar\u00e3es and Maril\u00e1 Dardot, Bernardo Carvalho (an excerpt from his most recent novel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bombsite.com\/issues\/102\/articles\/3062\"><i>Nine Nights<\/i><\/a> is also available), Lygia Fagundes Telles and Manuel Alegre, and the architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, among others.<\/p>\n<p>There are also a slew of excerpts, including a story by Rubem Fonseca (not from our forthcoming collection), an excerpt from <i>The House of the Fortunate Buddhas<\/i> by Jo\u0101o Ubaldo Ribeiro, a piece by Patricia Melo, and Four Poems by Ad\u00e9lia Prado. <\/p>\n<p>Some stuff is available online, but for most of this you&#8217;ll have to actually buy the issue . . .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not sure how long this has been available, but the recent issue of BOMB is dedicated to Brazilian art and culture.
