(The site is sort of like a scaled-down <em>Words Without Borders<\/em>) and their latest &#8220;issue&#8221; includes <a href=\"http:\/\/intranslation.brooklynrail.org\/articles\/1208_Cortazar_TheKings.html\"><em>The Kings<\/em><\/a> by Julio Cortazar.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The Kings&#8221; (<em>Los Reyes<\/em>) was published in 1949. It was the first time Julio Cort\u00e1zar published under his own name. Aside from this text, Cort\u00e1zar wrote four other short plays that were collected and published in 1995 as &#8220;Goodbye, Robinson, and other short pieces&#8221; (<em>Adios, Robinson, y otras piezas breves<\/em>). One of the plays included in that volume &#8220;Nothing Goes to Pehuaj\u00f3&#8221; (<em>Nada a Pehuaj\u00f3<\/em>) had first been published as a single text in the year of his death. This adaptation\/translation of &#8220;The Kings&#8221; was originally commissioned by The Art Party, Inc. in New York City, and developed with The Internationalists Around the World in the 24 Hours Festival.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"ad_banner\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.openletterbooks.org\/subscribe\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/College\/translation\/threepercent\/images\/131.jpg\" width=\"460\" height=\"105\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What a find!
