{"id":273596,"date":"2009-09-08T19:05:23","date_gmt":"2009-09-08T19:05:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wdev.rochester.edu\/College\/translation\/threepercent-dev\/2009\/09\/08\/goodbye-rochester-hello-reykjavik\/"},"modified":"2018-04-16T17:15:27","modified_gmt":"2018-04-16T17:15:27","slug":"goodbye-rochester-hello-reykjavik","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/College\/translation\/threepercent\/2009\/09\/08\/goodbye-rochester-hello-reykjavik\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodbye Rochester, Hello Reykjavik"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In just a couple of hours I&#8217;m taking off for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bokmenntahatid.is\/page\/english\">Reykjav\u00edk International Literary Festival,<\/a> which kicked off on Sunday with readings by Steinar Bragi (whose novel <em>Women<\/em> sounds great), Johan Harstad, Bergt\u00f3ra Hanusard\u00f3ttir, Luis L\u00f3pez Nieves, and Junot D\u00edaz.<\/p>\n<p>Very interesting mix of Icelandic and international authors, and a good balance between interviews and readings. <\/p>\n<p>With a little luck, I&#8217;ll be posting daily updates on the various Icelandic authors and whatever other interesting publishing things I come across.
