href=\"http:\/\/conversationalreading.com\/your-face-this-spring-here-we-go\">excellent overview<\/a> of Marias&#8217;s work, linking to a number of overview pieces in <em>The Quarterly Conversation<\/em>, <em>New York Review of Books<\/em>, and elsewhere. <\/p>\n<p>Even if you&#8217;re not participating in the book club, Scott&#8217;s piece is really interesting for finding out about Marias&#8217;s <em>work.<\/em> So often people talk about the more crazy aspects of his life&#8212;like the fact that he is the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kings_of_Redonda\">King of Redonda.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m already behind in the readings, but hopefully will catch up by the 3rd . . . <\/p>\n<div class=\"ad_banner\">\n<a
