As previewed on last week’s Three Percent podcast,<\/a> today is the launch of Read This Next<\/a> a new Three Percent project where we’ll be previewing a new work of international literature every week. <\/p>\n

Read This Next<\/a> is modeled in part on the “album previews” available through KCRW<\/span><\/a> and NPR<\/span>,<\/a> and the belief that it’s possible to build buzz for forthcoming books. (Even ones that aren’t about vampires!) <\/p>\n

So, each Monday we’ll post a lengthy preview of a book that’s due out in 2-4 weeks. You’ll be able to read the preview online, or print it out, or download a version for your phone\/Kindle\/ereader. We’ll also post an interview with the author\/translator and a full length review so that readers have a few ways to enter into the featured title. <\/p>\n

The main goal is to highlight some of the best works coming out—books that we’re excited about for one reason or another and hope others will get excited about as well. We have maybe 7 or 8 titles already lined up, and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the selections, and hopefully won over by the excerpts. <\/p>\n

We’ll be sure to mention all the Read This Next<\/a> material on Three Percent, but the quickest and easiest way to access all the content is by visiting the Read This Next<\/a> site every Monday. <\/p>\n
