Currently the access allows a combination of any one, two, or all three of the following:<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Make a Payment via ACH \/direct debit payment from a checking or savings account.<\/li>\n<li>View Account Activity. This provides up-to-the-minute transaction level detail.<\/li>\n<li>View Student Statement. Generate a snapshot in time PDF or printout of the activity on a student\u2019s account for an academic period \/ semester you select.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The student has full control of who has access to the above items and may grant or rescind access at any time directly in UR Student. Once the process to grant access is completed by the student the third party will receive a link and other information by email. The third party will then need to complete a very brief confirmation process to finalize their access. Note: Students should notify in advance anyone they plan to authorize so the third party will know what to expect and the authorization email isn\u2019t lost or discarded.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tech.rochester.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/QRC_Add-a-Third-Party-Delegate-_U-of-R.pdf\">Step-by-step instructions on how to add a third party<\/a>\u00a0are available.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Making Payments in UR Student<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>UR Student enables you to save banking information so that you can make eCheck (ACH) payments through UR Student. During the Payment Election process, you may also enter banking information in the \u201cDirect Deposit\u201d section, however this functionality is not yet available, and the information will not be used. Refunds to third parties are currently only available by paper check.<\/p>\n<p>Note that this is available only for checking or savings accounts at US-based banks and does not include credit cards. Third parties who have been granted access to make payment on behalf of a student and who have completed the authorization process may also complete this task (but only to make payment; Direct Deposit refunds aren\u2019t available to third parties at this time). Banking information is not visible or otherwise shared between students and authorized third parties.<\/p>\n<p>What you\u2019ll need: the routing number, account number, and account type (checking or savings) of the account you will be using.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that after you\u2019ve entered your banking information and clicked OK you must check your Inbox in UR Student and complete an electronic authorization form.
