Here at the Procurement Department, we’re starting to do things differently. We are undergoing a transformation called Procure to Pay, or P2P. This is a significant endeavor which includes the Workday Procurement module, better business practices, and training for everyone involved. P2P will make the Procurement experience easier by streamlining the process – we are giving users an online portal to place and track orders, receive goods and services, and enable the payment of invoices. The P2P process will greatly reduce paper processing.
P2P is a vast undertaking that involves every department here at UR. In order to ensure the success of Procure to Pay, we started to slowly rollout the project by enlisting a few departments to take part in our Early User Acceptance Test (EUAT) which started June 11, 2018. We have continued to add departments during a Pilot phase between February and April 2019 with opportunity to obtain feedback on system design. As of July 2019, we began phased rollouts to departments across the University and recently completed the final rollout to departments on February 24, 2020.
Now that all departments have been on-boarded to the Procure to Pay System, the team is focusing on transition and adoption.
We appreciate everyone’s participation and support during the implementation of P2P. We know that changing processes and doing things differently can be a challenge, so we truly appreciate everyone who stepped up to help us with this endeavor.

UR Procurement Marketplace Gets an Upgrade
