The Saunders Center for Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Center at Marketplace Mall has been named the 2024 Best Project in the Health Care category by Engineering News-Record New York <\/em>(ENR NY), a leading publication covering the construction industry. An independent panel of experts reviewed project submissions from New York and New Jersey, selecting 29 Best Projects across 16 categories. Projects were evaluated based on the project team\u2019s ability to overcome challenges, safety, construction\/design quality, and contribution to the industry and the community.<\/p>\n

Spanning 330,000 sq. ft., the Saunders Center for Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Center<\/a> is the largest, most comprehensive orthopaedic facility in the northeastern U.S.\u00a0 LeChase Construction Services, LLC<\/a> served as the construction manager for the project, which was completed in phases over a 34-month period. The Ambulatory Surgery Center and Imaging Suite opened in early 2023, followed by the final component, a new four-story outpatient clinic tower which opened in late 2023 on the 19-acre site.<\/p>\n

The project will be formally recognized at an awards ceremony hosted by ENR in New York City this November.<\/p>\n
