New views from the inside out <\/span><\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” use_row_as_full_screen_section_slide=”no” text_align=”left” css_animation=”” box_shadow_on_row=”no”][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]As we approach another Rochester spring, the inside of our new Emergency Department and patient tower has sprung up with new growth since the winter.<\/p>\n

The project is now in Phase 1A, which includes detailed, collaborative transition planning\u2014but also significant buildout of the mechanical floor and interior through April 2027. Most of this electrical and data infrastructure is now in place, as well as HVAC equipment.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”7252″ img_size=”full” mkd_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space height=”15px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_column_text]Materials were hoisted onto the fourth floor by a crane, piece by piece, and assembled in place. [\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”7262″ img_size=”full” mkd_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space height=”15px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_column_text]When the project is complete, the third-floor bridge will connect to a path to the Gold Elevators in our current hospital. [\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”7272″ img_size=”full” mkd_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space height=”15px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_column_text]Precision technology called building information modeling (BIM) allows workers to virtually place all equipment, piping, access hatches, and more. [\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_single_image image=”7282″ img_size=”full” mkd_css_animation=””][vc_empty_space height=”15px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][vc_column_text]Temporary meeting space on floor 3. This space will be absorbed into the final building but now serves as a hub for the construction team.<\/p>\n

Clinical staff will have observation stations in the ED that will allow them to monitor multiple patients.
