April 2020
During the past several weeks, the generosity and loyalty of our University of Rochester family has been remarkable. The community has come together to financially support two emergency COVID-19 funds—one for students and one for the Medical Center—and has made thousands of in-kind donations supporting patients and our frontline health care workers. Many of you have volunteered to assist with our admissions activity by interviewing accepted students or offered career advice to our graduating seniors and young alumni. Your continued commitment to our mission is reflected every day by your actions.
The question we hear over and over again—from faculty, students, and staff on campus and at the Medical Center, and from alumni and friends—is how can we help? How can we leverage our resources, skills, and energy to make things better for others and get through this together?
Let’s celebrate how the entire University community has been helping each other, our nation, and our world in these difficult days. This is another great example of the Rochester Effect.
Thank you.
