Your Impact: The Eastman Musical Assistance Fund
The Eastman Musical Assistance Fund is available to students year-round and provides support for ESM students’ educational and professional success, including:
• Instrument repairs
• Music and score purchases
• Travel expenses for conferences, audition, and competitions
• Audio and video recording for auditions
• Fees for accompanying services
How It Started
Comfy for a Cause launched in 2019 to support the newly established Student Emergency Fund, aimed at providing financial assistance to students in need. Since then, the Basic Needs Hub on the River Campus—funded by the Student Emergency Fund—has received over 550 emergency assistance requests annually, and the need for immediate resources has only increased. Thanks to the generosity of the University of Rochester community, more than $58,000 has been raised through Comfy for a Cause, directly benefiting students.
This year is the seventh annual Comfy for a Cause, and the second in collaboration with the Eastman School of Music. This expansion has enabled Eastman to immediately meet the unique needs of its students. To learn more about the River Campus edition of Comfy for a Cause, visit our website.

What if I don’t want comfy gear but still want to help?
Visit the Comfy for a Cause web store and add the donation amount of your choice to your cart to support the Student Emergency Fund or Eastman Musical Assistance Fund. 100% of your gift will directly benefit students in need. Thank you for your generosity!

Is there a sizing chart available?
Yes, above the size selection drop down there is a ‘Size Chart’ option. Please note that all sales are final, and we are unable to accommodate exchanges or returns, so we encourage you to select your size carefully.
Can you guarantee my item will be in stock?
In the unlikely circumstance that a certain item or size is no longer in stock, you will be notified, and with your approval, we will replace it with a similar item. We encourage you to place your order early to ensure you receive your preferred item and size.
Can I exchange or return items?
Unfortunately, exchanges and returns cannot be accommodated as all sales are final.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we can only ship to addresses in the United States.
When can I expect to receive my purchase?
Your order will begin production immediately after it is placed. Production typically takes five business days and then will ship. You will receive a confirmation email including tracking information. You should expect to receive your item(s) by mid-November.
Are the items embroidered or screen printed with the logo?
The crewneck sweatshirt and joggers have a screen-printed logo. The fleece jacket and puffer vest have an embroidered logo.
