“I feel Rochester and the Hajim School has prepared me for the next stage of life with the rigor of the program. It’s forced me to be incredibly disciplined and hardworking, and given me a diverse set of technical skills. My time here has changed me immensely, and I am at a completely new level of maturity and confidence.”

“I always tell prospective students that the best thing at U of R is the strong sense of community. The students and faculty here are so supportive, warm, and giving, which creates such a strong overall support network that everyone is welcome to be a part of.”

“Having the opportunity to go back to school as an adult has led to many personal surprises and reflection opportunities.  Participating in an international elective- specifically the Israel Entrepreneurial and cultural immersion course, stands out most.    The whole experience – the cultural, educational, professional and personal growth opportunities – will be the highlight of my time at Simon.”

Molly-Robins

“I was initially drawn to UR because of the way that science and art coexist here. When I first came to college, I knew I wanted to combine my love of math and my love of music somehow.  I was really drawn to the environment at UR, where I could pursue a scientific field and study music at the same time.  On top of that, I had been playing violin for most of my life, and the access to Eastman lessons as a River Campus student was a perfect opportunity for me.  It meant that I could continue to study violin seriously and academically, while still balancing it with my degree.”

“My team became more than a team during the past four years. I am most thankful for the family I have gained through my sport. My teammates and coaches have become some of my best friends and mentors for life and I will always be grateful for them. Creating these relationships has been the most rewarding part of my athletic experience.”

“From first-hand experience I believe it is essential for alumni to support the school financially. There are many great potential students who don’t have the means but have the potential to become successful alumni and continue giving in return, if they are given the opportunity to attend Simon and live out their ambitions.”

“I can’t quantify my experience with Warner, it’s meant so much to me and my family. Through Horizons I have seen my children grow, every year. It’s everything to me – I’m getting my education, and I’m watching my children learn important life skills in a community that is safe, fun, and motivating every summer. Support from alumni like you, has not only given me the financial aid I needed to achieve my dream of becoming an educator in the United States, but also helps to provide crucial funding to the Horizons program, helping to make a difference in the lives of our community’s children next year and over the long-term.”
