The Parents Council is a group of leadership donor families who, in addition to their philanthropic support, actively engage in the life of the University through a wide range of volunteer opportunities, including: volunteering their time for admissions programs, providing access to internships and career guidance, make welcome calls to incoming families, as well as attend and host events.
As Parents Council members, we support programs that enhance the educational experience for our daughter, her classmates, and future generations of students. As graduates of the University of Rochester, we are excited to become more involved as our daughter follows in our footsteps at UR creating her own experiences and memories.
We extend a warm invitation for you to join us and other University of Rochester parents who share our vision for a Rochester education. Parents play a vital role in the life of the University, and your involvement through the Parent Council can help to improve the quality of education and enhance the collegiate experience for your child.
We believe in the Rochester motto “Meliora,” which means “ever better”. Through your involvement, you, too, can be a part of making Rochester even greater.
Meliora,
-Kenny Peyton (’90), Deborah Gofas Peyton (’91), P’22 and Parent Council Co-Chairs
