Strong Memorial Hospital<\/h5>\n

This helped Strong gain national attention from many organizations, including being recognized byU.S. News & World Report<\/em>\u00a0as a national leader in patient safety, patient engagement, and clinical connectedness to improve patient care.<\/p>\n

Support for our Advanced Heart Failure Program helped us become one of the nation\u2019s leading centers for research on and development of ventricular assist devices (VADs), and one of the world\u2019s leading research centers on implantable defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy. Strong Memorial Hospital is the only comprehensive heart failure and transplant center in upstate New York, allowing patients and families to be closer to home while waiting for heart donations.
