Overview

Virtual Enterprises International (VEI) is a live, in-school, global business simulation for high school students. The University of Rochester partners with the VEI Northeast Region to host two events: Written Business Plan Judging and the Trade Fair and Oral Competition. University student volunteers judge the VEI business plans in the fall. In December, the Trade Fair and Oral Competition is held on River Campus. The winning regional VEI firm goes on to compete in an international competition held in New York City in the spring.

Schedule of Events

In November, student volunteers judge the written business plans of the VEI firms.

In December, the University hosts the regional teams for the Trade Fair, where VEI students can market their online businesses. This event also encompasses the Oral Competition. For this aspect of the event, teams must present their projects to distinguished judges from the region.
