School of Medicine and Dentistry

Class of 1975

It seems like yesterday we were studying in Miner Library and celebrating at commencement. Consider this your destination and “go to” website for the School of Medicine and Dentistry to learn the latest news from fellow Yellowjackets, view upcoming events, join the class on social media, and keep up with 45th Reunion plans for Meliora Weekend. In a recent message to the community, it was announced that Meliora Weekend will not be taking place this October, but that Reunion celebrations hope to move to June 2021.

In the meantime, you can reconnect with friends at a regional or virtual events, online at the Meliora Collective, or just share a Class Note.

We still welcome your participation in planning your Reunion. Volunteering on your Reunion Class Committee is a great opportunity to expand your network and rekindle old friendships. If you are interested, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at SMDalumni@rochester.edu. I’ll be in touch soon to share more about how you can be a part of this exciting celebration.

Meliora!

Giving

In honor of his 45th Reunion, Dr. England and Barbara England, his wife, established the Albert C. England, III '75M (MD) Scholarship to provide need-based support for medical students with preference for students from Illinois and elsewhere in the Midwest. The fund will support the student through the entirety of their medical student education.

“The Albert C. England III '75M (MD) Scholarship is inspired by my commitment to education, the privilege of practicing medicine, my gratitude to the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Illinois," said Dr. England. He and his wife hope the endowment will inspire others to establish endowments, particularly during their lifetime.

Join Dr. England and continue your class' legacy by making a gift today!
