VSAAC Overview

The Varsity Student Athlete Advisory Committee (VSAAC) strives to represent and support our varsity athletic teams by building a positive and productive relationship with our athletic department.

The purpose of this committee is to enhance the University of Rochester student-athlete experience through interaction with the athletic department, students and faculty on campus, and the surrounding community. VSAAC aims to promote sportsmanship and develop strong leadership characteristics within the department through athletic experience, academic excellence, and community service.

If you are a member of the University of Rochester athletic community, we strongly encourage you to learn about VSAAC and what we can do for you. Talk to the representative for your team about any issues that you have with the University athletic program. You can also fill out this contact form.

What Is VSAAC?

VSAAC is a group of student-athletes that meets once a week to discuss athletic concerns. We deal with the issues of individual teams and the concerns of student athletes. One of our goals is to raise school spirit. We sell athletic apparel, sponsor Midnight Madness for the basketball teams, and hold spirit days for each varsity team. We also participate in many community service activities like sponsoring a toy drive for Toys for Tots.

If you are a member of the Rochester athletic community, we strongly encourage you to get to know what VSAAC is, and what we can do for you.
