Undergraduate Students

girl on bike with degreeCareer development is an ongoing process of self-discovery. The Greene Center for Career Education and Connections is here to partner with you on your journey whether you’re exploring career and major options, looking for experiences to help build your skills and resume, or need help strategizing how to reach whatever your goals may be.

We hope that as early as your first year on-campus, you connect with our staff to talk about where you are in your career development, consider where you might like to go, and how we can help you along the way. Over the course of your 4 years we will partner with you as you begin to: Know Yourself, Discover Your Potential, Build Career Competencies, Create a Personal Brand and Establish a Network. The following are tips to help you get started:

  • Join Handshake, create your profile, and complete your career interests (found under your name tab). This opportunity recommendation tool grows with you over the course of your four years and allows you to schedule 1:1 advising appointments in the Greene Center, learn about upcoming events, and access jobs and internship opportunities.
  • Get to know yourself and become more familiar with your skills, interests, and values through a variety of career assessment options available on our self-discovery tools page.
  • Explore the Career Communities. These communities are a way to connect students and alumni to information, resources, and people in order to explore interests. Career communities encourage exploration by exposing students to related industries and professions. Check out the exploratory career community for more information and resources on getting to know yourself, discovering your potential, and building career competencies.
  • Stop by the Greene Center during collaboration hours and speak with a Peer Career Advisor (PCA) - no appointment necessary!
  • Schedule an appointment with a Career Advisor who can support you in your career and graduate school journey.
