Health Professions Abroad
Many Rochester alumni who are physicians, medical researchers, psychologists, therapists, nurses, physician’s assistants, and nutritionists have spent a semester, summer, or even a year abroad.
Pre-health professions students can plan to take coursework or internships related to their career goals. Or, with careful planning, they may consider a semester studying something entirely different (art in Italy, history and language in Japan, politics and music in Vienna).
All students considering health-related careers should meet with a health professions advisor in the College Center for Advising Services.
