Reserving Rocky's Sub Shop & Lounge
Whether you want to host a viewing party, board game night, or any other type of event, Rocky’s is a great place to do so. With ample space and easy to use technology, Rocky’s is a flexible and high traffic area for your event. Reserving Rocky’s has no cost and works very similar to reserving any other student life space. The student organization or department is responsible for cleanup of food, garbage, and any decorations. If there is any damage to the space, furniture, or excessive cleaning required after the event, the student organization or department will be charged. Rocky’s cannot be reserved outside of its normal operating hours.
How to Make a Reservation
Events planning to have food must do so through Dining Services. Outside food and drinks are not permitted within Rocky’s for an event. Popcorn can be requested free of charge for an event by contacting Ken Beck, assistant director of student life operations.
Student organizations and departments should work with ECM to coordinate any set up needs they have for their events. While the majority of the furniture in Rocky’s can be moved around as needed, the pool table and bookcases are not allowed to be moved. Furthermore, no equipment or furniture should be set up on top of the pool table.
Equipment (AV Technology)
Rocky’s has a variety of equipment that can be used for events. Using this technology should be coordinated with Ken Beck, assistant director of student life operations.
There is one 70 inch television and two 55 inch televisions. All three televisions have access to cable, can display the same image or separate images, and can be hooked up to gaming consoles, laptops, or other electronic devices.
Rocky’s has a full speaker system installed in the ceiling. This system can be connected to the televisions in the space or used separately with either a microphone or personal device.
Wireless Microphone (Coming Soon)
WCSA is working on purchasing a wireless microphone for Rocky’s that will be available free of charge and compatible with the built in speaker system.
For more information regarding reservations, please contact Ken Beck, assistant director of student life operations.
