Ways to Take Part

There's plenty of ways to get involved in recognizing the Class of 2021

In a message sent to parents and families, the University of Rochester detailed its commitment to keeping students safe, while still allowing students to participate in-person on their special day.

We’ve put together this guide on some of ways parents and families can get involved in celebrating the Class of 2021.

Ceremony livestreams
and photography

All of the ceremonies will be livestreamed, recorded, and will have professional photographers.

Watch live

The Commencement website will be updated with links to the livestreams of each ceremony.

Many of the livestreams will start before the actual ceremony time to allow virtual viewers to see graduates arriving before the festivities begin.

Photography

All of the ceremonies will have professional photographers to capture the spirit of the events, as well as capture each graduate receiving their diploma.

Families of graduates in the College Commencement ceremonies can submit celebratory messages and images to Congrats Grad!, which will be shared during the ceremonies. If you have trouble accessing the submission form, visit the Parents and Families website or email wcsa@rochester.edu.

Photo opps abound

Take advantage of the many beautiful off-campus locations to take photos.

Spring is here which means the lilacs are in bloom at Highland Park, as well as the magnolias on Oxford Street. View the incredible waterfalls at the High Falls in downtown Rochester. Or, check out the local art district, Neighborhood of the Arts (NOTA), for one-of-a-kind pictures.
