Research examines digital interventions for teen suicide prevention
Funded by the National Institutes of Health, a new research project from Arielle Sheftall, an associate professor of psychiatry, is using digital approaches that include a peer-to-peer support app and at-home nerve stimulation as methods of early intervention with high-risk teenagers.
The Writing Fellows will be available to help AS&E students from Sunday, December 11, at 4 p.m. through Monday, December 12, at 3 a.m. The fellows will tutor papers—from any discipline and at any stage in the writing process—while you refuel with pizza and snacks. Writing retreat for AS&E graduate students
The Graduate Writing Project is hosting a free three-day virtual writing retreat December 15–17, from noon to 4 p.m. EST each day. Writing retreats are designed for AS&E graduate students who are working on graduate-level writing such as dissertations, theses, proposals, and publications. The structured writing experience offers guidance, accountability, and community as well as the option to work one-on-one with a writing consultant. School of Nursing offers 24-month pathway for accelerated nursing program
The School of Nursing is now accepting applications for a new 24-month option in the accelerated bachelor’s program for non-nurses. The program is designed for college graduates who have a previous bachelor’s degree and want to pursue a new career in nursing. The 24-month option allows students to continue working while enrolled in the six-semester program and, for interested University eligible employees, utilize tuition benefits. The deadline for the first cohort is January 2 for a summer 2023 program start.
