Plutzik Reading Series talk with Laura van den Berg
The Plutzik Reading Series continues on Thursday, November 14, with author Laura van den Berg, the author of five works of fiction, including The Third Hotel, a finalist for the New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award, and I Hold a Wolf by the Ears, one of Time Magazine’s 10 Best Fiction Books of 2020. Van den Berg will read from recent works, answer questions, and sign copies of her books, which will be available for purchase. The free event is at 5 p.m. in the Humanities Center, Conference Room D.

Interfaith Chapel survey for graduate students

Williams Director of the Center for Visual Science, will explore the latest advances in ophthalmic optics and envision the future of eye diagnostics and correction technologies. In this conversation, Vincent Lloyd, a theologian and author, and Joshua Dubler, an associate professor of religion at Rochester, explore the moral framework of anti-Black racism and criminalization. The event takes place Monday, November 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Humanities Center, Conference Room D, and is part of the Dignity series from the Humanities Center and the Paul M. Schyve, MD Center for Bioethics.
