The “Assessment Essentials: Leveraging Blackboard and HelioCampus for Effective Evaluation” workshop, part of the Rochester Year One series supporting new and early-career faculty in their professional development, takes place on November 13. A complimentary lunch is provided at 11:30 a.m., with the workshop to follow at noon in the Gamble Room, Rush Rhees Library.

UR Procurement (P2P) Marketplace gets an upgrade |
The UR Procurement Marketplace (Jaggaer) is upgraded three times a year, with the next scheduled upgrade occurring the weekend of November 14. The platform will be unavailable for placing catalog requisitions and the transmission of all P2P purchase orders to suppliers from Friday, November 14, at 9 p.m. through the afternoon of Sunday, November 16.

Best known for his Itinerant Artist Project, Rochester artist Jim Mott is undoubtedly an impressionist who prefers capturing everyday moments—outdoors, most of the time—and renders what he sees using stunning, gestural brushwork. Join Mott at the Memorial Art Gallery on Thursday, November 13, at 6:30 p.m. as he talks about his work and shares his insights on how making unmediated connections with subjects and people creates meaning. Admission is free for University employees and students, but registration is requested.
