Through the end of the year, URochester affiliates can attend fitness classes—from Zumba to toning—at an affordable price at the URMC Fitness Center. Find more information and the class schedule.

AI in education across the world |
The Fall 2025 LiDA Colloquium Series continues today from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. with “AI in Education Across the World.” The session will cover educational uses of AI in other parts of the world to inform a conversation about what may be taken-for-granted assumptions about the potential and limitations of AI for education.

Students share Projects for Peace experiences |
Join the Burgett Intercultural Center and the Fellowships Office for “International Coffee, Snacks, and Conversations: How Two URochester Students Are Changing the World!” at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, at the Burgett Intercultural Center. Lizmairi Vargas Santa ’26 and Nyasha Gwaza ’26 will discuss how they used grants from Projects for Peace to foster peace in Azua, Dominican Republic, and Gwanda, Zimbabwe. This event is part of International Education Week.

Mission Meals at the Foodlink Community Café |
The Center for Community Health & Prevention is sponsoring the first 100 Mission Meals served at the Foodlink Community Café, located in the Rochester Central Library at 115 South Avenue, on Wednesday, November 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., while supplies last. Mission Meals include an entrée, side, and bottled water and are offered to any customer seeking food assistance, no questions asked.
Darrell Vickers, a peer educator for the New York State Department of Health Prostate Cancer Education grant, will also be at the library from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to discuss prostate cancer and screening options.

Kohn Lectures shine light on conversation and communication |
The speaking fellows invite the community to the November Kohn Lectures, set for 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, at the Barbara J. Burger iZone. Euan Seow ’26 will deliver “Conversational Incentives: Arguments for Cooperative Discourse.” Sarina Trivedi ’26 and Willow Nagai ’26 will then present “Hello Your Way: Communicating Across Cultures.” Time for questions and discussion will follow.

Public Health Grand Rounds on hormones and cognition in women |
Miriam Weber, an associate professor in the Department of Neurology, presents “Hormones and Cognition in Women: Menopause and Beyond” at the next Public Health Grand Rounds on Friday, November 21. The webinar takes place from noon to 1 p.m.

Research Ambassadors from various disciplines will hold office hours for undergraduate students between 5 and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, in Hirst Lounge, Wilson Commons. No appointment is necessary.

Tickets to Boar’s Head Dinner go on sale November 20 |
The annual Boar’s Head Dinner, a University tradition since 1934, returns on Thursday, December 4, at 7 p.m. in Feldman Ballroom at Douglass Commons. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, November 20, at the Grab ’n Go, off the Douglass terrace, starting at 6 p.m. The first half hour is reserved for seniors, with general sales to undergraduates beginning immediately after. Undergraduates can apply to serve as student hosts, welcoming guests and helping lead the celebration. Hosts will attend a private reception at 5:30 p.m. with their invited faculty and staff cohosts and will enjoy discounted tickets for themselves and their guests.
