Survey on APP care for cancer survivors

Researchers at the School of Nursing are conducting a study to better understand how advanced practice providers (APPs) care for cancer survivors outside of oncology settings. The survey takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, and your input can significantly impact future training and resources. APPs in primary care, geriatrics, psychiatry, urgent care, and other non-oncology specialties are encouraged to participate. If you are a nurse practitioner, nurse midwife, nurse anesthetist, or physician assistant at the Medical Center and affiliate sites, and would like to know if you are eligible to participate, check the survey link or email the study team.

UR Stars spotlight

Holley Perkins, Lab Supervisor

Each week, HR shines a spotlight on a faculty or staff member who has been recognized as a UR Star. Holley Perkins, a lab supervisor, was recognized for demonstrating integrity.

“Holley is one of the most compassionate, generous, and empathetic leaders. She has radical patience and always makes sure everyone is set up for success. She goes beyond what’s expected of her in every aspect. What truly sets her apart is that she is a person of action, not just words. If there is something she’s passionate about, she will find a way to make it happen. She is a fierce advocate for others and lifts everyone around her. She is also profoundly humble and never seeks praise for all of the amazing hard work she puts into our project and other efforts. The success of our team would be impossible without her strength and leadership. She deserves to be recognized for all her hard work, devotion to our project, dedication to helping others, and her kindness and empathy to all.”
