In a webinar on Friday, March 27, Reitu Mabokela, vice provost for global engagement, will explore the global forces redefining the higher education landscape, including geopolitical instability, intensifying global competition, and the disruptive rise of generative AI. Drawing on insights from her extensive campus-wide conversations, she will outline five strategic priorities to strengthen URochester’s global position. Deadline extended for Celebrate Research Week

Undergraduate students who have conducted research in the last year can be a part of Celebrating Research Week in April; one application allows you to apply for all three opportunities. Apply here by 11:59 p.m. today, March 17.

River Campus Course Expo

All undergraduate and graduate students are welcome and encouraged to attend the Course Expo in the May Room, Wilson Commons, on March 20 to talk with academic department representatives from the School of Arts & Sciences and the Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, as well as Center for Advising Services and Hajim college advisors.

Free STI testing

Students can sign up for free and confidential STI testing on March 24 and April 28, provided by Trillium Health in partnership with Health Promotion and Burgett Intercultural Center.

Introduction to College Teaching program

This Teaching Center program is designed to provide graduate students and postdoctoral instructors with the tools and skills they need to successfully design and teach a course, with an emphasis on compressed summer formats. This program will meet in person on the River Campus on Thursdays, April 2, 9, 16, and 23, from 3 to 6 p.m.

Join the Study Zone

The Study Zone offers a low-distraction co-working space in the Learning Center suite (Dewey Hall, Room 1-160D) where students can set specific goals and work directly with Study Zone Leaders to achieve them.

Mindful eating online program

This 10-Day mindful eating program offers students a guided experience that introduces practical tools to slow down, tune into hunger and fullness cues, and build a more compassionate relationship with eating.
