Enhance your teaching with greater presence, clarity, and connection through the fall Mindful Professor Training Program on the River Campus. Hosted by the Mindful University Project, this nine-workshop series is open to URochester faculty, course instructors, postdocs, and PhD students with teaching responsibilities. Participants receive practical teaching tools, strategies to support student success, a Mindful Professor sticker, a certificate of completion, and access to a mindful teaching community. Visit the Earth Week thrift shop, taking place in the Eisenberg Rotunda, Schlegel Hall, April 20–22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Browse a curated selection of gently used items, including business attire, winter wear, and everyday essentials. Prices range from $1 to $15. In Lucas Hnath’s The Christians, a megachurch pastor delivers a sermon that shakes the foundations of his congregation’s beliefs—sparking a crisis of faith, loyalty, and doctrine. Digital Media Studies and the Arts and Music Library announce the return of Breaking Boundaries with Video Games, an annual showcase of undergraduate research, writing, design, and multimodal scholarship involving video games at the University, on April 24 from noon to 4 p.m. at Lam Square, Rush Rhees Library. Food and snacks are provided, and all are welcome to attend.

In a webinar on Friday, May 1, from noon to 1 p.m., Sid Bhattacharya, associate vice president of marketing, and Michelle Hildreth, director of creative strategy and solutions, will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the work being done across the enterprise marketing team to elevate the URochester brand and to support enrollment. Attend the 2026 XR Research Symposium on May 1 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Carlson Library, presented by the Center for eXtended Reality in partnership with Mary Ann Mavrinac Studio X and University Libraries. The 2026 Presidential Awards for Inclusive Excellence drew a record-breaking number of nominations this year, and more than 150 people filled the Feldman Ballroom on March 31 to celebrate the honorees. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, trustees, and community members received recognition across seven categories for work that fosters belonging and thriving at the University. The annual spring ceremony is hosted by the Office of the President and the Office of University Engagement and Enrichment.
