Join a community of mindful educators |
The Mindful Professor Training Program is returning this fall. Offered by the Mindful University Project, an initiative within Health Promotion, this nine-session program is open to URochester faculty and course instructors, providing practical, evidence-informed strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness, bring greater presence and intention to teaching, cultivate mindful leadership, support student well-being, and strengthen their own well-being. Sessions will be held on select Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to noon. Complete this interest form to be notified when registration opens and the program location is confirmed.

The Office of Orientation and New Student Programs invites all faculty and staff in the Eastman School of Music, Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, School of Arts & Sciences, and Simon Business School to join URochester leadership for the 2026 undergraduate Convocation ceremony on Wednesday, August 26, at 4 p.m. on the Eastman Quadrangle, River Campus. Join in celebrating and welcoming the undergraduate Class of 2030, as well as incoming transfer and exchange students.

The Strong National Museum of Play hosts Save the Games: A Digital Preservation Symposium on Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30. Bringing together international leaders in video game preservation, the symposium aims to advance the field through engaging presentations, networking opportunities, and behind-the-scenes tours of the museum’s collections. Submit an abstract for regional health equity symposium |
The Center for Community Health & Prevention and the University at Buffalo Community Health Equity Institute host the inaugural Western New York regional health equity conference on October 9. Community-based organizations, community groups, researchers, trainees, staff, and students are invited to submit abstracts on organized community programs, initiatives, or research aimed at mitigating health inequities in the region.
