Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences students need the approval of their undergraduate coordinator for all schedule changes. Students in the Class of 2027 and 2028 from the School of Arts & Sciences should communicate with their college advisor about any proposed changes to their schedule. Follow these instructions to find your advisor in UR Student. Undergraduate students must remain enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits to retain their full-time status.
ChatGPT-4 and academic honesty On January 21, you received information about the release of a private version of ChatGPT-4. As stated in that memo, use of this tool and other generative artificial intelligence (AI) is subject to the academic honesty policy. Since expectations around the authorized use of generative AI tools are determined by your course instructor, you should verify with them before using generative AI/large language model (LLM) tools. Instructors could report you for unauthorized use of resources if you use AI/LLM tools without permission. The academic honesty policy requires students to declare and fully cite the use of all sources and source technologies.
In addition to referring to your instructors for clarification about their academic honesty expectations when it comes to AI usage in their courses, the liaisons encourage you to refer to the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program’s Academic Honesty with Online Learning Tools resource and other resources posted on the academic honesty website. Quiz 3, in particular, covers AI usage. You can also email the Honesty Liaisons with general inquiries or visit mywco.com/honesty to make confidential appointments.
