The libraries will\u00a0no longer be able to retrieve or provide physical items for graduate students or faculty, from the stacks or through interlibrary loan.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.rochester.edu\/gethelp\/covid19#updates\">Here\u2019s what you need to know.<\/a>\u00a0All students, faculty, and other library patrons are encouraged to browse and use the library\u2019s list of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.lib.rochester.edu\/c.php?g=1015145&amp;p=7352696\">free and extended-access materials<\/a>. And, roughly one-third of Rush Rhees Library\u2019s physical book collection is available electronically.<\/p>\n<p>Although physical spaces have been closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.rochester.edu\/gethelp\/covid19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">library staff and the resources you need are still available<\/a>. In addition, outreach librarians have launched a YouTube channel,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLJD1Q2B5iWBS4WCY5Xe8AWV7OlU_xIJIS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#RCLatHome Resources<\/a>, that provides tutorials for navigating library databases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miner Library:<\/strong>\u00a0Closed to the public until further notice. Library book due dates have been extended to July 2. If needed, you can drop off books at the drive-up book drop outside of the Rush Rhees Library on the River Campus. Email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:miner_answerdesk@URMC.Rochester.edu\">miner_answerdesk@URMC.Rochester.edu<\/a>\u00a0with any questions.<\/p>\n<p>The doors may be closed, but Miner Library is open for business online. Medical librarians are available during regular business hours to support all students, faculty, and staff.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urmc.rochester.edu\/libraries\/miner\/how-do-i.aspx\">Contact them here<\/a>. You can also access current publications through the library\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urmc.rochester.edu\/libraries\/miner\/major.cfm\">database subscriptions<\/a>, or submit a request for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urmc.rochester.edu\/libraries\/miner\/ask-a-librarian.aspx?loc=miner\">personalized assistance<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sibley Library:<\/strong>\u00a0Closed until further notice.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>You can live chat:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>With River Campus Libraries.<\/strong>\u00a0Live chat with library staff is available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST\u00a0on Friday.
