Parking Management Center opens at Goler House

map of College TownThe University’s new Parking Management Center opened April 29 to serve faculty, staff, and students in the space formerly occupied by Purchasing at 70 Goler House, adjacent to the Medical Center.

“We are consolidating our service center to create a better experience for our faculty, staff, and students,” says Hugh Kierig, director of University Parking and Transportation. The Medical Center parking office has already closed and the River Campus office is set to close May 15.

All staff and faculty business with Parking and Transportation Service can be handled at the center weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

During the day, a new Visitor Parking Office in the Hospital Garage serves visitors only. Staff will be directed to the Parking Management Center during its hours of operation. After hours, the garage office is available to late-shift and weekend staff who need assistance.

My Parking Online, a service available on the department’s website, also allows the University community to purchase permits; add or update waitlist requests; pay or appeal citations; manage contact and vehicle information; and view the status of permits, citations, and appeals.

If needed, there are several parking options nearby to make a quick stop at the center. The Hospital Garage offers 30 minutes of free parking. Or pull into the visitor portion of the College Town Garage (off Celebration Drive) for up to 2 hours of free parking. There are also some spaces available on Celebration Drive. In addition, the Blue Line shuttle stops in the area.
