students and administrators with Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama greets a team of Simon Business School students, including Mikayla Hart ’16S (MBA), Cesar Quijano Serrano ’15S (MBA), and Robert Kauffman ’16S (MBA)—pictured with (from left) Duncan Moore, vice provost for entrepreneurship; Joel Seligman, University president and CEO; and Michael Wohl, associate director of social entrepreneurship. The team placed third in the Tibetan Innovation Challenge, a new intercollegiate social entrepreneurship business plan competition that aims to develop self-sustaining and replicable business ideas to alleviate the economic difficulties Tibetan refugees face. The Simon team’s plan is to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of Tibetans living in India by bringing them basic financial training and access to capital.
