Intersectional Crises in an Anti-Aids Organization: The Life and Death of ACT UP/LA

The Susan B Anthony Institute presents a talk with Benita Roth, Professor of Sociology and Director of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality at Binghamton University on Monday, April 15 at 3:30PM in the Humanities Center.

Roth studies the interaction of gender, race/ethnicity, and class in postwar social protest, particularly feminism. She is interested in questions of collective identity, political decision-making given inequality among movement participants, and in understanding constraints on collective action.
