Partner programs have been welcoming University of Rochester students for many years and the program staff are familiar with the academic interests, needs, and strengths of URochester students.\r\n\r\nURochester offers more than 75 partner programs during the summer and the academic year.","accordion_anchor":""},{"acf_fc_layout":"accordion","accordion_title":"Advantages","icon":"","row_content":"<ul>\r\n \t<li>University of Rochester financial aid applies toward the cost of the program (semester or academic year).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Grades earned will not be shown on your transcript and are not calculated into the GPA.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Grades for courses taught by University of Rochester faculty appear on your URochester transcript and are calculated into the GPA. This includes grades from faculty-led programs.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Applications are available at the Center for Education Abroad, and all materials are coordinated by that office.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Elective transfer credit is automatic upon completion of coursework with a C or better (following normal <a class=\"u-link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/college\/ccas\/handbook\/transfer-credit.html\">University transfer credit guidelines<\/a>).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Special scholarships are available through some of our partners like IES and CIEE. They let you enroll directly in a foreign university alongside local students.\r\n\r\nThese programs provide academic advising and orientation for U.S. college students. Direct enroll programs may offer less structured support for incoming U.S. or international students and may be a better fit for students who want a more independent experience. Full immersion into the host culture can be challenging and requires a high level of maturity, flexibility, and resourcefulness.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Language of instruction:<\/strong> Host country\u2019s language (approximately four or five semesters of college-level language study or the equivalent) or English<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Academics:<\/strong> Regular university courses with host country and international students.
