The Dalal Family $100,000 Challenge
You rose to the challenge!
Because of you and more than 300 generous donors, the Dalal Family Challenge of $100,000 has been met! That means we’ve already raised over $235,000 to support the University and its Medical Center. If that’s what you can achieve in 13 hours, we can’t wait to see what you do in 24. Share your Rochester pride with the hashtag #URMakingADifference. Thank you!
Two generations of University of Rochester alumni: Dr. Siddhartha ’71 (MS), ’73S (MBA), ’76 (PhD), Preeyel Dalal ’06, and Daniel Kaplan ’06, have put forth a special challenge this year in memorial of Mrs. Alka Dalal. The Dalal family are generous supporters of undergraduate scholarships for students from developing countries with underprivileged backgrounds.
Gifts of any amount, received on the Day of Giving, May 3, 2017, will be matched by the Dalal family up to a total of $100,000. Once $100,000 in support has been received from donors on Day of Giving, the Dalal gift will be allocated to undergraduate scholarship support. Participants are encouraged to give to anywhere they feel passionate about across the entire University and its Medical Center.
