The Wonder of URochester
We believe in the freedom to choose your own path — and the support to walk it with confidence. A 9:1 student-to-faculty ratio means mentors are within reach. 275+ student organizations give room to explore in nearly any direction. And our 60+ research centers and institutes mean your curiosity can go farther than you thought possible.
Academics
From statistics to studio arts, we have more than 160 undergraduate majors and minors. Still figuring out what you want to study? We have a path for that, too.
URochester Curriculum
We only require one course: Writing 105. Besides that, you have the freedom to deep dive into a particular subject or go exploring for new ones, without needing to “pick a lane.”
Campus Life
Most URochester undergraduate students choose to live on campus for all four years for a reason. From diverse dining options to hundreds of clubs and organizations, there are tons of ways to find your place.
Research Opportunities
URochester is one of the country’s top-tier research institutions, and undergraduates can participate from year one. Not only will you contribute to advancing knowledge in critical areas, but we also offer the funding to help you do it.
