PFAA status applies during periods of full-time enrollment in the PhD program. During these periods, full tuition support continues regardless of changes in stipend funding. If a student transitions to part-time enrollment or takes an approved leave of absence, PFAA status is suspended. If a student is approved by the associate dean of graduate education in the appropriate school (or the associate dean's designee) to return to full-time enrollment, PFAA status is reinstated with tuition support resuming at that time. PFAA applies only during full-time enrollment and is not applied retroactively to prior enrollment periods.
