myURHR training update
Investing time in myURHR training is vitally important to obtaining the knowledge and readiness skills required to prepare for go-live on December 16. This training includes everything from learning new terminology and system navigation skills, to all new processes, and functionality.
This system change will impact every individual that works at the University and as a result is one of the largest system transitions in the history of the University. To be successful, we need everyone to complete their training; especially managers, coordinators, and timekeepers. If you haven’t already, now is the time to get started.
These additional myURHR eLearnings will be available by the end of October in MyPath:
- Managing Employee Compensation in Workday
- Graduate student appointments in Workday
- Manager’s Responsibilities in Workday
- Managing Timecards: Timekeeping for Managers in UKG
eLearnings may be taken multiple times (search for the course name in MyPath or view your “My Learning Transcript” in MyPath and filter by completed training status).

Daylight saving time ends November 3
At 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 3, clocks will be moved back one hour to mark the end of daylight saving time. Hourly-paid staff who are on duty when daylight saving time goes into effect will work one more hour on their shift. For example, staff members who normally work eight-hour shifts will work and be paid for nine hours. The time clocks for HRMS and Kronos will automatically change and there is no manual effort required on the part of the employee or timekeeper.
Supervisors are encouraged to communicate this practice with employees who will be impacted by the time change. If you have any questions related to this topic, please contact your HR Business Partner.
Time off for voting
Employees who are registered voters may take off up to two hours of working time to vote at any election without losing pay if the voter does not have four consecutive hours either between the opening of the polls and the beginning of work or between the end of work and the closing of the polls. You may take time off at the beginning or end of your work shift or a time agreed upon with your supervisor. You must notify your supervisor no more than 10 working days and no less than two days before the day of election.
In case you missed it: myURHR go-live newsletter
The first myURHR go-live newsletter was distributed on October 7 to managers, coordinators, and timekeepers. Topics included time entry guidance, recruitment requisition transition deadlines, pay cycle alignment, payroll accounting key changes, and more.
