Long-term care insurance pays for home health care, assisted living, and nursing home care to help people with the functions of day-to-day living like bathing, dressing, transferring, and eating. It also covers services related to rehabilitation, chronic illness, and cognitive impairment.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n

All benefit-eligible and non-benefit-eligible faculty and staff may apply for long-term care insurance at any time. In addition, family members of faculty and staff are eligible to apply. All applicants must complete a Statement of Health and be approved by the insurance carrier before a policy will be issued.<\/p>\n
