What are you most looking forward to with the go-live of myURHR on Monday, December 16?<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019m most excited about the electronic streamlined processes, which are helping us to move away from paper forms, and also the enhanced user experience that myURHR will offer faculty and staff.<\/p>\n What is the number one workflow or task that you want to learn more about during myURHR training this summer?<\/strong><\/p>\n Time off requests\u2026 I love vacations so I\u2019m looking forward to submitting my requests in UKG! It will be nice to have my approved requests flow straight to my timesheet so that I don\u2019t have to remember to add it once I get the time off approved.<\/p>\n As a myURHR project team member, how do you feel your myURHR role is having an impact on the University community?<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019m always looking for opportunities for improvement and advocating for system and process enhancements to benefit my team and colleagues. The move to myURHR offers more visibility into current processes and improvement upon them over time with new releases and upgrades from Workday and UKG, which helps us live up to our motto of being \u201cEver Better\u201d.<\/p>\n What keeps you motivated while working in an ever-changing environment?<\/strong><\/p>\n Navigating an ever-changing environment can be both exhilarating and challenging! I try to embrace change as an opportunity for growth. There is a lot of change coming with myURHR, from how we elect our benefits to how we report our time, so this will be an opportunity for all of us.<\/p>\n What is your favorite inspirational quote?<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cNot everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced,\u201d by James Baldwin.<\/p>\n myURHR Project Team Leader As a myURHR Project Team Leader, how do you feel your myURHR role is having an impact on the University community? I have been a part of the University of Rochester\u2019s HRMS support team for over 20 years. myURHR will allow for opportunities for improvement, and this is a once-in-a-career opportunity for me to use my knowledge to bring about this change alongside an exceptional team of analysts, consultants, leaders, and the end-user community.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n HRMS has served the University of Rochester for 20+ years. Can you share your experience with HRMS and your thoughts on the transition to myURHR?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n I have had the privilege of working with a high-power team since day one of HRMS, with seven of us working together continuously since 2002! There is a wealth of institutional and technical knowledge in the HRMS team, however, the current HRMS model is unsustainable. As we configure and test the full suite of myURHR applications, the team continues to demonstrate commitment to success, with a healthy degree of prudence.<\/p>\n What piece of advice would you like to share with your colleagues as we get ready for myURHR? <\/strong><\/p>\n Stay involved! It has been exciting to see so much interest, throughout the university, with HR business processes, benefits, recruiting, compensation, payroll, timekeeping, and time off and leave plans. Continue learning about all of the new capabilities and voice your ideas for improvements.<\/p>\n How do you handle challenging projects or tasks?<\/strong><\/p>\n I work with a great team that moves into problem-solving mode with every challenge.
