It includes compensation, health care plans, tuition benefits, retirement plans, and so much more. Open Enrollment for 2025 benefits will run from October 16 through October 30, 2024. During this period, eligible University faculty and staff can review their benefit coverage options and make selections for the upcoming calendar year. Please prepare for Open Enrollment by taking the following steps:<\/p>\n<h2>Step 1: Evaluate your current benefits<\/h2>\n<p>The benefits that are available for enrollment or change during this period are health care, dental care, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), vision care, legal plans, and life insurance. Review your coverage choices, savings amounts, and discuss future needs with your family.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2: Check out the 2025 Benefit Highlights<\/h2>\n<p>Visit the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/benefits\/open-enrollment\"><strong>2025 Open Enrollment website<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to see what is new and different for 2025.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3: Review Rates and FAQs<\/h2>\n<p>As part of your Total Rewards package, the University of Rochester offers two health care plans: the YOUR HSA-Eligible Plan and the YOUR PPO Plan. These plans are administered through Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/benefits\/health-care\/health-care-plans\/\"><strong>Compare them side-by-side<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and read through answers to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/benefits\/open-enrollment-faqs\/\"><strong>frequently asked questions<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to help you figure out what options might be best for you.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4: Be ready to enroll<\/h2>\n<p>The 2025 Open Enrollment website breaks down the process to enroll in benefits by benefit type to find out which benefits require you to take action and where to enroll.<\/p>\n<p>Resources and tools are also available on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/benefits\/open-enrollment\"><strong>2025 Open Enrollment website<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0including registration for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/benefits\/open-enrollment\/virtual-information-sessions\"><strong>virtual information sessions<\/strong><\/a>, help choosing benefits with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/start.myalex.com\/university-of-rochester\"><strong>ALEX<\/strong><\/a>, and Life Insurance options with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/benefits\/programs-perks\/life-insurance\/#scout\"><strong>Benefit Scout\u2122<\/strong><\/a>.
