Individuals or their managers will send an email to <a href=\"mailto:hrleaveadministration@ur.rochester.edu\">hrleaveadministration@ur.rochester.edu<\/a> to initiate the request for military leave and need to indicate the dates of the leave and attach a copy of the orders.<\/p>\n<p>The Leave Office will establish the military leave status in UKG which will allow managers to use the new \u2018military\u2019 pay code for short-term (up to 30 days) leaves on the time sheet for each day of military leave. For military leaves more than 30 days, Leave Administration will manage the leave, entering the codes on the timecard until the individual\u2019s return to work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> Individuals can request the payout of vacation or PTO time directly with HR Leave Administration. There is no automation for use of accrued time for military leaves. When individuals are preparing to return from military leave, they will contact Leave Administration, and on the first day back to work, their manager will use the Return to Work <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/benefits\/leave-disability\/return-from-disability-workers-compensation-report\/\">form<\/a> to confirm the individual\u2019s return to work.
