{"id":187912,"date":"2025-03-14T15:12:38","date_gmt":"2025-03-14T19:12:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/?p=187912"},"modified":"2025-03-14T15:12:38","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T19:12:38","slug":"myurhr-workday-upgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/2025\/03\/14\/myurhr-workday-upgrade\/","title":{"rendered":"myURHR Workday Upgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Workday and UKG have regularly scheduled system upgrades designed to increase functionality and enhance the user experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>myURHR Workday will have bi-annual upgrades, with the first happening Friday, March 14, through Saturday, March 15. <\/strong>The myURHR support team has prepared for this by conducting robust testing to ensure no impact on the configuration.<\/p>\n<p>A majority of the updates are not noticeable to staff; however, <strong>there are<\/strong> <strong>payroll costing allocation enhancements that are beneficial to coordinator roles. Read below to find out what\u2019s new.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Redesign of Payroll Costing Allocations (PCA)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Assign Costing Allocation<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>task has been redesigned<\/strong> <strong>with a<\/strong> <strong>new display allowing you to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add, edit, remove, and sort ranges of costing allocations by start or end date.<\/li>\n<li>Copy costing allocations of a specified date range.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, a tab for Existing Costing Allocations is now available.\u00a0This tab lets you view existing costing allocations for the specified criteria.\u00a0An empty grid is displayed if the worker or position doesn&#8217;t have any costing allocations.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_187932\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-187932\" style=\"width: 1062px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-187932 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/task-page-1062x473.png\" alt=\"This image displays the task page in myURHR Workday for assigning costing allocations. Allocation periods are now shown as separate selectable cards on the left for easier sorting.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Default Costing Allocation for Salary Over the Cap<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A <strong>new Salary Over the Cap Default Costing Allocation Details grid has been added to<\/strong> <strong>Assign Costing Allocation<\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>(both the ad hoc task and the step within other processes), enabling you to specify default Salary Over the Cap costing allocations for all grants with salary cap on a given allocation.<\/p>\n<p>The grid is empty by default.
