{"id":50296,"date":"2020-05-13T08:00:13","date_gmt":"2020-05-13T12:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/?p=50296"},"modified":"2021-11-04T11:24:14","modified_gmt":"2021-11-04T15:24:14","slug":"vacation-accrual-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/human-resources\/2020\/05\/13\/vacation-accrual-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Vacation Accrual Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In light of work disruptions caused by the crisis, the University wants to ensure that faculty and staff maintain access to earned vacation time so that it is available when they are able to use it. The following changes have been made to the accrual policy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>At the beginning of the first full pay period on January 1, 2021<\/strong>, a maximum of one and a half year\u2019s (1.5 year\u2019s) accrual may be carried forward. During the year, vacation accruals will continue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>At the beginning of the first full pay period on January 1, 2022<\/strong>, a maximum of one and a quarter year\u2019s (1.25 year\u2019s) accrual may be carried forward.\u00a0 During the year, vacation accruals will continue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>At the beginning of the first full pay period on January 1, 2023<\/strong>, the University will return to the standing policy which allows for a maximum of one year\u2019s accrual to be carried forward.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that all employees continue to have access to the University\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rochester.edu\/hrms\">HRMS system<\/a>. To access the system when not on site, faculty and staff must use remote access tools (DUO and VPN). Visit the University\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tech.rochester.edu\/hrms-tutorials\/\">online resource for tutorials<\/a>\u00a0to learn more about these
