Most travelers receive an electronic I-94 that can be viewed online using their passport information. Each time you enter the United States, you will generally receive a new Form I-94, except in certain cases when re-entering from a neighboring country.\r\n\r\n<strong>Beginning September 15, 2026,<\/strong> new I-94 records for F and J visa holders will no longer show \"D\/S\" (Duration of Status). The system will then display your most I-94 admission information, including your I-94 admission number and most recent date of entry. Please contact ISO if you notice any errors with your information, including your biographic details, entry details, or duration of status, so we can provide guidance on how to request a correction.\r\n<h3>Details for F-1 and J-1 travelers<\/h3>\r\nFor most categories, the expiration date is based on the scheduled activity or a maximum duration for initial entry in that status. However, for F or J entry, the I-94 record should show <strong>\u201cD\/S\u201d for Duration of Status<\/strong>.\u00a0 This means that your status remains valid as long as you are maintaining a valid I-20 or DS-2019.\r\n<h3>Print and carry your I-94<\/h3>\r\nWe recommend that you print this record and carry it with your other immigration documents while you are in the United States.\r\n<h3>Problems with your I-94<\/h3>\r\nIf you notice an error or have concerns about your I-94 record, please contact ISO as soon as possible for guidance. In most cases, however, the most effective way to resolve I-94 issues is to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbp.gov\/about\/contact\/ports\/rochester-new-york-0903\">contact<\/a> and work directly with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Rochester International Airport (ROC).","background_color":"#f4f4f4","width":"width-medium"},{"acf_fc_layout":"text","anchor":"","css_class":"","title":"<h2>US Port of Entry stamp in your passport<\/h2>","content":"After showing the necessary eligibility documents, your passport may also be stamped to mark the date and location of your admission.
